Wanted a bag that would do triple or quadruple duty: a stylish, casual everyday black handbag, a sexier bag to take out on the town (with enough room to keep a sweater/light coat), and a practical over-the-shoulder bag for carrying stuff, when I ride my bike, or otherwise need my hands free. I also wanted a leather bag that wouldn't contradict my ethical notions. This bag does it all, and the leather is gorgeous to boot. Recycled leather. Comfortable wide strap (fabric with leather on outside) that can be shortened to make a single strap handbag or lengthened to the length of a standard over-the-shoulder courier bag. Thick but very soft, slightly shiny black flaps of leather layered over durable black fabric structure. Some pieces bent when bag arrived but they flattened out after I hung it up for a while. Spacious interior with cell and zipped pocket - big enough for standard 8 1/2x11 notebook (sideways) plus extras. Double zipper (an unexpected but incredibly useful feature)...
